STAR TREK ROOM SIGN

Well Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers out there. Well my dad is a huge Star Trek fan, and his series choice is "Star Trek: The Next Generation". well my brother has slowly been buying him model ships and other memorabilia from the different TV shows...so naturally I needed to make him a room sign for all of his stuff. Below you will find everything I used on this project. Sorry I was not able to make a video of this project due to many other things going on in my life currently. Just not enough hours in the day. But if you need more instructions than I give please let me know!

So here is the finished project. Below this you will find the steps

Step One:

I bought this shadow frame and paper pack at Joann's. The background is the standard star blue paper. I also then used the following stickles all over the background to give the look of stars.  I used Star Dust, Icicle, Diamond, and Frosted Lace. I simple put dots on the existing stars on the background.

Step Two:

You will need to download the following pictures onto your hard drive to open in the Silhouette Designer Edition software. You will import all three photos and trace them. Cut out two sets of the ship, two sets of the badges and one set of the characters.

Step Three:

Once you have the charters cut out I used a black sharpie to go over their black pants and shirts to give a nice dark look. I then took martha stewart glitter pens in coordinating colors and went over all of the color in their shirts and above their shoes. I used black enamel paint on their shoes. I used a metallic silver paint pen for their buckles and accessories including their communicator badges. I used the same Martha Stewart Glitter pens on the three color badges above and the enterprise ship. On the ship I cut out the bottom part and the top part and use foamed squares to lift this above the other part of the ship. I then took black ink and using a foam brush I lightly brushed the top of the photo to give it a distress/worn look. I then cut out the three insignias from the badges and raised them up using foam squares. Raise up the characters and all 6 of the badges from the background using foam squares.

Step Four:

Go to www.dafont.com and download the Star Trek font and load it into the Silhouette Software and type your sentiment or name. Go over all of the letters with Star Dust Ranger Stickles Glue. Cut out the main insignia from another printed badge to place in between the word star and trek.  Raise up the name and room with one set of foam squares and the Star Trek with two sets of foam squares (one placed on top of the other).

ALL DONE!!!

I hope this helps and if you have any other questions feel free to contact me on my blog under the contact section!!!
